Sales training has become a broad and complex field. It is critical to accurately diagnose the specific areas for improvement before beginning.

There is no best learning method for everyone. We are all individuals with significant strengths and weaknesses. While classroom training and meetings are a necessary component, true sales training must be modelled by a credible and experienced professional. Modern sales technology offers several tools to dramatically increase the capabilities of sales reps, particularly regarding Customer Relationship Management and lead generation. It is possible, however, for sales technology to mask a lack of essential sales skills with disastrous results.

We also need to encourage a stronger partnership between the sales and marketing departments.

It is clear that effective sales training must be specific to the individuals and appropriate to the situation.
